Fall 2017 Maintenance

Ashland Eastern Loop Phase 2:

Consolidated Water will be bidding and constructing 11,000 feet of 12 inch waterline as part of phase 2 of the four phase Ashland Eastern Loop project.  Phase 2 runs from Hagan Road east of Ashland along the Route Y corridor toward highway 63 then south to Forsee Lane where it will cross highway 63 to connect to an existing 8 inch waterline at Peterson Lane.  Phase 2 will give the District a second feed to the southern portion of the District for redundancy of service and increasing the fire flow available to the existing fire hydrants in the southern portion of the District.

Future Phases:  Phase 3 extends from Forsee Lane to Gilpin Road/Blythe Road.  Phase 4 will go to Gilmore Road/Route A.  These phases are in the 10 to 15 year CIP plan.

Well House Upgrades:

Consolidated Water and its Engineers (Bartlett & West) are in the design phase of replacing and upgrading three of its smaller well houses.  The well houses that are to be replaced are:  South Well (Dee Woods Road), Liberty Well (Liberty Lane) and Dripping Springs Well (Dripping Springs Road).  The old style small metal buildings will be replaced with tan cinder block metal roof buildings.

Route K Valve Installations

Consolidated Water is in the Design stages for waterline upgrades and valve installation on the Route K corridor.  Phase 1 of this project includes an upgrade to a section of 4 inch waterline between East Old Plank Road and Coneflower Avenue to an 8 inch waterline.  Phase 1 will allow for additional connections to larger waterlines increasing fire flow and also reducing the number of customers that might be affected in case of water main breaks.  This project is scheduled for the spring of 2018.
